What We Treat
Digestive health care in Kelowna.
Naturopathic care for bloating, reflux, bowel changes, IBS, suspected SIBO, and food-related symptoms. The first step is understanding the pattern, ruling out red flags, and choosing testing only when it can guide care.
What we look at
Specific concerns and patterns.
Bloating, IBS & SIBO
Investigation, targeted treatment, and gut rebuilding.
Reflux & sensitivities
Triggers, motility, and inflammation.
Constipation & motility
Stool patterns, hydration, and nervous-system inputs.
Microbiome & nutrients
Absorption, deficiencies, and how the gut affects skin and mood.
Approach
How we approach it.
Care starts with identifying patterns and, when useful, functional testing to clarify the root. From there, the plan focuses on reducing inflammation, supporting motility, and rebuilding tolerance to food over time.
Personalized assessment
Digestive care without unnecessary restriction.
Digestive symptoms can be influenced by food patterns, medications, motility, stress, infection, and other medical conditions. A careful intake helps determine what can be addressed in clinic and what needs medical investigation or referral.
Map the pattern
We review symptom timing, stool patterns, appetite, reflux, travel, medications, previous diagnoses, food changes, and tests already completed.
Test selectively
Breath, stool, blood, or other testing may be discussed when the result is likely to change treatment—not as a default for every patient.
Rebuild tolerance
Plans may include food strategy, nutrients, motility support, stress regulation, and gradual reintroduction rather than permanent broad restriction.
Common questions
Before you book.
Do I need SIBO or stool testing?
It depends on the symptom pattern, prior treatment, and whether the result would change the plan. Testing is not automatically necessary for every digestive concern.
Will I have to follow a restrictive diet?
The aim is not indefinite restriction. Short-term adjustments may sometimes help clarify triggers, but nutritional adequacy and rebuilding tolerance are important.
When is medical referral important?
Bleeding, unexplained weight loss, severe or persistent pain, anemia, fever, repeated vomiting, or a major change in bowel habits should receive prompt medical assessment.
